This research examines the impact of climate-related challenges on individuals' lifeways,
focusing on farmers and ranchers whose livelihoods are closely connected to the environment.
The study centers on farmers and ranchers in the region of Marsh Valley, Idaho who have
grappled with drought and environmental changes. Employing a qualitative mixed-method
approach involving participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and photo-elicitation,
this research delves into the lived experiences of farmers and ranchers, reveals the toll that these
environmental challenges pose. The findings shed light on the intricate interplay between
climate-induced uncertainties, community strains and supports, and personal ties to the natural
world. |
