This study examined the impact of a Barre stretching video intervention on stress and pain levels in first-year dental hygiene students. Thirty-two students were invited, with 11 participating in a 6-week randomized control trial. The experimental group followed a 15-minute Barre stretching video twice weekly, while the control group maintained normal routines. Stress and pain levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and the Numerical Rating Pain Scale (NRPS). The experimental group showed a significant reduction in stress levels for questions about helplessness (p=0.006), ability to handle stress (p=0.006), and lack of control (p<0.001). No significant difference in pain levels was found between the two groups, with higher pain levels persisting in both. The study highlights that occupational health hazards, including stress and pain, remain significant among dental hygiene students, emphasizing the need for further research and awareness. Key Words: dental hygiene student, stress, pain, barre.
