The purpose of this study wasto garner understanding of what factors influence speech-language pathologist confidence in using telepractice as a service delivery model. A national survey wasdistributedto 6431 speech-language pathologists and 548 responses fit the inclusion criterion.Speech-language pathologistrespondents who hadmore training with telepractice in graduate school reported feeling more confident with deliveringtelepractice services.Respondentsreported that they wished their graduate courses would have contained more information regarding a combination of telepractice topics. Most respondents were interested in continuing education related to best practices in telepractice service delivery. While answers were subject to participation bias, results indicate institutions should consider curriculum containing subtopics into graduate education.This, in turn, could benefit clinicians’sense of competency providing telepractice.Future studies on telepractice couldfocus on reducing barriers to telepractice.
