This qualitative study examinedhow oral healthcare was integratedwithin a federally qualified health center (FQHC).Eight participants (n=8) were interviewed. Purposive samplingincluded physicians, physician assistants, dentists, and dental hygienists. Data were gathered through one-on-one semi-structured interviews. Descriptive analysiswas employed todescribe the demographics of the sample. Themes for these data emerged from axial coding. Thematic analysis revealed seven principal themes. Themes included: interprofessional collaboration supports patient care,immediate consultations lead to improved outcomes for all, shared expertise to optimize care delivery, oral health is health, increased communication through collocation, role clarity does not impede team functioning, and mission driven to provide excellent care.Providers at this FQHC were found to be enacting interprofessional healthcare collaboration (IPHC) to improve patient outcomes. Healthcare providers were able to leverage the expertise of other professions to effectively meet the patients’ healthcare needs.Key words:interprofessional Healthcare, patient-centered medical home, oral healthcare integration, federally qualified health center
