The research development of diverse and culturally sensitive approaches aimed at serving the Hispanic community continues to grow, yet research focused on exploring the experiences of non-Hispanic rehabilitation counselors serving the Hispanic community is lacking. This study delves into the distinct realm of cultural interactions within the field of rehabilitation counseling, specifically focusing on the experiences of non-Hispanic rehabilitation counselors working with Hispanic clients with disabilities. The study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the unique dynamics, challenges, and opportunities inherent in this intersectional context. By unearthing the narratives, perspectives, and strategies of nonHispanic RCs, this research seeks to highlight the complex dimensions that shape the delivery of rehabilitation services within a culturally diverse landscape. The findings from this study not only contribute to the enriched understanding of cultural competence within the rehabilitation counseling profession but also emphasize the urgency for tailored rehabilitation counseling interventions to enhance the well-being of underserved Hispanic populations. |
